Each Flip Lock is supplied with two keys. If you purchase multiple locks in the same order, all keys will be keyed alike as standard.

Each bike is secured independently, eliminating the single point of failure found in many cable and chain systems.
Built-in play is designed to avoid the spokes, and a protective sleeve provides a soft barrier to prevent rubbing or damage should contact occur.
Once installed with the supplied tamper-resistant mounting hardware, the Flip Lock lives permanently on your rack.

An integrated retention system holds the U-latch securely in the open position when not in use, keeping it clear of your bikes during loading and shuttle days.

The Flip Lock is designed exclusively to work with all Shingleback racks with bolt on cradles including the new Classic. This includes our Shingleback Canopy Racks too. Unfortunately it won’t work with our very original Classic that has welded-on cradles.
The Flip Lock is designed to deter theft by creating a stronger barrier than traditional security options. The Flip Lock secures your bike through the front wheel, so wheel removal remains possible. For riders seeking additional security, anti-theft axle systems are available and can provide further protection against wheel removal.
The U-Latch is designed with intentional side-to-side movement, allowing it to navigate around your spokes and pass cleanly through the wheel.
The Flip Lock is secured using tamper-resistant security fasteners designed to make unauthorised removal extremely difficult. When bikes are loaded onto the rack, access to the mounting hardware becomes even more restricted, adding another layer of deterrence.
Unfortunately, no bike rack security product can claim to be completely angle grinder-proof. However, the Flip Lock’s location on the rack makes access difficult and awkward, increasing the time, effort and attention required to attack it.
Like any outdoor lock, exposure to rain, dust and the elements can affect operation over time. We recommend periodically applying a dry lubricant to the lock mechanism to keep it operating smoothly. We recommend Selleys Ezy-Glide Dry Lubricant.
** You must use a DRY lubricant.
The Flip Lock is designed as a permanent installation and is not intended to be easily removed or transferred between cradles. Before final installation using the provided thread locker, make sure you’re happy with your cradle position and which cradle you want your Flip Lock fitted to.
