BOOST Update

UPDATE: April 2023 (just in time for Easter)

In late February we made the very difficult decision to remove the BOOST rack from sale.  Over the past few weeks we have been working very closely with our Shingleback community and stockists to replace all the BOOST centre posts with a SPORT centre post.  We are pleased to let you know that together we’ve achieved a great result that has meant everyone has been able to get back out there using their Shingleback rack.

We can not express our appreciation enough to the Shingleback community for working with us to achieve this result so quickly.  The support and positive feedback on our proactive approach to what has happened has really helped us during what has been an incredibly difficult time.

Update from February 2023:

Recently, the tilt mechanism of a BOOST rack failed. Although no person, bike or vehicle suffered injury or damage, we wanted to investigate the cause of the failure to determine if it was a one-off or a systemic issue.

We have discovered that it is possible for this failure to reoccur so we have made the decision to remove BOOST from sale until we can gain a better understanding of how to fix the tilt system and make sure it meets the standards we expect from a Shingleback product.

As the creator of BOOST we feel incredibly disappointed the tilt mechanism did not meet standards of a Shingleback Rack, especially as it went through rigorous testing with two engineering firms before we offered it to our customers.

We are in the process of contacting all the owners and will be dispatching a replacement centre post assembly to everyone who purchased a BOOST rack as soon as we can confirm their delivery address.

Apologies to everyone for the hassle of replacing this part but we do not want to take any risks that may result in an injury or damage to any equipment and feel this is the best course of action to keep everyone out there riding.
